The South African Quarter Horse Association is a growing community and sponsored in part by Ed Harrison the Global Cowboy. Starting Thursday, June 28 they will be competing in Texas in the Youth World Cup for the first time, and they couldn’t be more excited.
It may have taken them a little more to get here, but this team like any other, is going for the gold.

The American Quarter Horse Youth World Cup is an educational, leadership and competition-based event for AQHA youth members from around the world.

The American Quarter Horse Youth World Cup is an international event held every two years and hosted by different countries. The 2012 Youth World Cup was held in Kreuth, Germany, the 2014 Youth World Cup was hosted by Bryan/College Station, Texas, and the 2016 Youth World Cup was held in Tamworth, New South Wales.

American Quarter Horse youth competitors from around the world will flock to Bryan/College Station, Texas, June 28 to July 8, 2018, for an international showdown.
Throughout the competition, each country will ride for gold medals in cutting, reining, horsemanship, ranch riding, trail, western riding, hunt seat equitation, hunter under saddle and showmanship.

The Youth World Cup is more than just a competition – it offers a chance for international American Quarter Horse enthusiasts to learn from the industry’s leading riders and trainers.

CR World Wishes them the best of luck!
